Over the weekend, teams were challenged to solve four goals set out by NASA to bring us a step closer to moving to Mars: Life, climate, geology and humans. Concepts ranged from devices to enhance dexterity, strategies for obtaining resources and optimising the 150 day journey for the travellers. The winning teams were displayed at a Mars symposium at The Design Museum.
Team Spacelark created an attachment for astronauts' feet to improve their dexterity onboard spacecraft. Awarded for best developed prototype.
Team Nomad proposed a colonisation strategy for connecting resources and laying down initial infrastructure. Awarded for best use of generative design.
